Dr. Moushumi Bhattacharjee is an expert in folk media, who has travelled extensively in India for understanding traditional folk communication, a fellowship holder from National Folklore Support Centre, Chennai; she published a number of articles on folk media in national and international journals and aspires to promote folk culture of the region at the global forum.
Dr. Anupa Lahkar Goswami, is an ICSSR Post Doctoral Research Fellow. Dr. Lahkar has also been rendering her service as an English Newsreader at Regional News Unit, Doordarshan, Guwahati. She has a penchant in creative writing and is also interested in online media studies with research articles published on the same in various peer reviewed journals.
The event commenced at 3 pm by chief guests Dr. Paul Pudussery Senior educationist and Dr. Asha Kuthari Chaudhuri, Director of performing arts, Guwahati Centre, Assam.
During the event Dr. Asha Kuthari Chaudhuri mentioned how thriving for the excellence and keeping the passion alive for the quality of work that has been produced is not easy but has been achieved by the authors.
Father Paul Pudussery said, “the whole challenge today is to access information, analyze information, construct knowledge out of the information and create multiple solutions and choose best out of it is what I call new definition of thinking” while addressing the audience. He congratulated Dr. Moushumi Bhattacharjee and Dr. Anupa Lahkar Goswami about publishing their books.
The event was attended by eminent personalities, academicians and educationists: Prof. Polly Vauqlin from Gauhati University, Prof. Kabi Khaba from Rajiv Gandhi University, Senior Journalist Ranen Kumar Goswami and many more. The event was beautifully grasped by the chief guests and guests while sharing their experiences with the authors on the Journey of bringing out the books. At the end senior consultant of ARMT and Senior Journalist Raman Bora gave the vote of thanks and congratulated both the authors for releasing the books.
